According to the demand letter received from the department, the board has issued advertisement no. 05 of 2023 was published. Under this advertisement, the posts of Senior Assistant in the Divisional Department were also filled. Now more demand letters have been received for filling up the posts of senior assistants from the division department and these posts have been advertised in advertisement no. 05 of 2023 has been added, after which the number of posts for direct recruitment of Senior Assistant Group B has been increased from 131 posts to 274 posts.

The recruitment drive by the PSSSB has announced 274 positions of Senior Assistant cum Inspector (Group-B) in the Directorate of the Local Government Department. To apply for the recruitment of Senior Assistant cum Inspector (Group-B) in Directorate, Local Government Department, an individual must meet certain eligibility criteria, which is available inside the table below.
| Educational Qualification | A candidate must hold a graduation degree with 50% marks from a recognized university or Institution. |
| He or she must have Typing speed in Punjabi and English at 30 words per minute. | |
| One must have completed a 120 hour course with hands-on experience in personal computer use. | |
| Age Limit | One’s age must not be below 18 years and above 37 years, and there will be upper age relaxation for the post of PSSSB Senior Assistant cum Inspector as per State government rule for the reserved category candidates. |
| Nationality | One must be a permanent resident of India, he or she has a domicile Certificate of Punjab. |
| Language Requirement | A candidate Punjabi must have studied Punjabi as a Subject in Class 10. |
All the aspirants are informed as under with respect to the written test to be conducted for the recruitment of Senior Assistant cum Inspector (Advt. No.06 of 2023)
1. The Exam will be conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. OMR sheet will be used for answering the questions.
2. The Exam would be of 2 hours duration.

4. There will be negative marking. Each question carries 1 mark. For every wrong answer, 1/4th mark i.e. 0.25 mark would be deducted. The question(s) not attempted will receive no credit or discredit.
